NEW SPRIG ADVENTURES PLAYSETS FUEL IMAGINATION

“These non-electronic, multi-piece playsets were designed to complement the original Sprig Adventure Series of kid-powered, electronic vehicles and Adventure Guides,” says Sprig Toys co-founder and industry veteran Justin Discoe.  “Each set has a different adventure theme and includes a cool vehicle and fun accessories, like boats that really float, scuba gear and our first Sprig animals. The new Adventure Guides fit into all of the original vehicles and their hats and backpacks are removable and interchangeable for hours of imaginative play.”

All Sprig toys are made from Sprigwood™, a child-safe bio-composite of recycled wood and reclaimed plastic that has visible wood “flecks” and gives the toys a fresh, wood-shop scent. The new Sprig Adventures playsets are recommended for ages 3 and up and will be available in September 2009 at specialty toy retailers across North America and the United Kingdom.

With Rex Jungle’s Dino Adventure Rig, little adventurers have everything they need to head back in time and save the dinosaurs. The playset includes a free-wheeling, all-terrain vehicle (8”x7”x7”), a 2.5-inch Adventure Guide with removable safari hat and backpack and two lovable dinosaurs for “mama and baby” play. Suggested retail price is $29.99.

Perfect for bath time, Captain Owen’s Dolphin Explorer Boat lets kids swim with the dolphins or go on a secret mission in the ocean. The waterproof, floating adventure boat (10”x6”x5.5”) has a cabin with portholes and flexible, rubber rails on each deck. Imaginative explorers can jump in a small dingy boat and create a new story each day with mama and baby dolphins and an Adventure Guide with removable hat and backpack. Recommended for ages 3 and up, suggested retail price is $29.99. 

Sprig’s Willie Ocean’s Scuba Search set gets kids excited about underwater exploration. The playset includes a floating inflatable-style boat (4.5”x3.5”x1.5”) and an Adventure Guide with removable scuba mask, tank and flippers made from soft rubber. Suggested retail is $9.99.

The Chuck Boomer’s Glider Patrol set lets little ones pretend their Adventure Guide is soaring over the trees to save the day. The set includes a hang glider (4”x5”x2.5”) with flexible rubber harness and an Adventure Guide with removable hat and backpack. The suggested retail price is $9.99.

All Sprig Adventures playsets are made in Mexico and sold in earth-friendly packaging without twist ties. Boxes are made from recycled cardboard and printed with water-based inks.
